ACCESS teachers create curriculum and use the Intentional Curriculum Decision-Making Cycle as a framework for critical reflection.
The ACCESS Classroom Tracking System (ACTS) allows teachers to choose how they will document what children know and are able to do so that they can make informed decisions as they create curriculum.
Teaching as a team can be both challenging and rewarding. How teams are working together must be revisited regularly and cannot be taken for granted. Team decision-making needs to be practiced and all team members need the opportunity to grow as professionals and have input in how team members will address the tasks that need to be completed to make the classroom work. The Target Model Worksheet is used as a means of revisiting the how the work of the classroom be done and by whom. The goal is to engage in proactive decision-making designed to set clear expectations.
