Nature Museum

Picture
The Nature Museum is a dynamic, rotating space within our center where children can encounter and explore natural artifacts in a focused, intentional setting. It’s designed to spark curiosity and invite questions. Each display is seasonal and local—feathers in the fall, seed pods in the winter, bird nests in the spring. Items are labeled, touched, drawn, and discussed. Children build stories around them, make connections to outdoor observations, and extend their learning into play and art. The museum acts as a bridge between spontaneous outdoor discovery and more structured scientific thinking, helping children move from wonder to knowledge.

Nature Prompts

Picture
We offer nature prompts to guide children’s attention to the wonders around them. Prompts are short, open-ended invitations such as: "What do you see when you lie on the ground and look up?" or "Can you find something that changes with the seasons?" These questions are placed strategically in our learning environments—near trees, puddles, garden beds—to provoke dialogue, inquiry, and observation. Nature prompts help children slow down, notice patterns, and form lasting relationships with the places they learn and play in. They also serve as a gentle entry point for teachers to facilitate science learning and reflection.
