Online Training                                                     

Online training is open for 3 weeks allowing participants flexibility to complete the two asynchronous hours when it works for them during the first two weeks.  During the third week, participants will meet with an ACCESS coach via Zoom to ask questions and discuss what was addressed in the module.

ACCESS Curriculum Overview

This module is designed as an introduction for participants who are new to ACCESS.  This session is typically taken when the curriculum is adopted and teachers begin to explore the components of the curriculum.

Setting Up an ACCESS Classroom
During this module, participants will come to understand ACCESS as an intentional curriculum that requires teaching teams to work together to create a supportive environment, establish daily routines; identify strategies for making decisions and build a respectful community of learners.

A-3 
​ACCESS Curriculum Implementation
Typically taken during the second or third month of the school year, this module serves to clarify aspects of the curriculum. Participants will  expand their assessment system, plan an investigation and select authentic materials to support learning and development in meaningful ways.

ACCESS Self-Assessment
The ACCESS Self-Assessment is completed midway through the school year.  The evaluation tool guides the user through critical reflection of their practice and leads to an action plan.  Goals are established for the second half of the school year.

ACCESS FOR ADVANCED USERS

​ACCESS Advanced Self- Assessment 
 
This module is taken by experienced ACCESS users who seek to reflect on their practice and set goals for the next phase of their development using the curriculum. Participants will review the components of ACCESS; complete a self-assessment, create an action plan and discuss their plan with an ACCESS coach during a question and answer session.

​ACCESS Curriculum Advanced

​ACCESS TO STREAM FOR CATHOLIC EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

C-1
STREAM for Catholic Early Childhood Educators

ACCESS is designed to reflect school culture and mission.  It can be expanded to be a STREAM curriculum that actively integrates Catholic values across all domains of development and learning.  This training should be taken after the ACCESS Overview (A-1) and Setting Up an ACCESS Classroom (A-2) modules.

ACCESS FOR LEADERS

​Setting the Stage to support Teachers, Children and Families  
Effective and quality practice may require a paradigm shift for many leaders who are not trained early childhood educators.  This session provides the basics of research-based and developmentally appropriate practice for teaching preschoolers.  It  introduces the tools used to set up quality ACCESS classrooms.

​Coaching and Evaluating to Ensure Quality  
Evaluating teachers to ensure curriculum fidelity can be time consuming and confusing.  This module reviews the ACCESS Administrator Observation Guide as well as the Classroom Walkthrough Feedback Form.

​ACCESS Curriculum Leader Network 
 
This professional learning community has been established  so that leaders have an opportunity to share experiences and learn from other leaders who are also supporting their staff as they implement the ACCESS Curriculum.
