 –Often used to observe children’s areas of interest 
 –Good opportunities to address content and/or skills that haven’t fit into prior investigations 

 •The transitions between daily experiences
 –Strategies used to cue children about an upcoming change
 –Provide opportunities for children to develop a sense of time and predict the sequence of the day
–Encourages self regulation and self control
