The ACCESS Curriculum
Intentional, Integrated and Inquiry Based
For Ages Infancy through Grade Five The ACCESS Curriculum (ACCESS) is an intentional, integrated, and inquiry-based curriculum for infancy through grade 5. ACCESS is the result of 10 years of curriculum development, field testing and research at the Bombeck Family Learning Center at the University of Dayton. ACCESS was field tested with partners in early child care and education, Head Start and p-12 public and Catholic schools. It has been shown to support teachers as they develop assessment supported, child-centered, emergent/negotiated, science and inquiry-based and integrated curriculum for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, children in kindergarten, and the elementary grades.
